VMware Tanzu Data Solutions
VMware Tanzu Greenplum
- Greenplum 6.29.0 resolves 18 medium, high and critical CVEs
- Greenplum Backup and Restore 1.3.1 Updated multiple dependencies updates which resulted in 29 CVEs remediated in this release.
- Tanzu Greenplum 6.29.0 introduces support for Read Replica management, now handled through the Greenplum Disaster Recovery (GPDR) binary.
- Introduced a new flag -A in gpinitstandby to specify an address for the standby host in case the hostname and address are different.
- The gp_check_functions extension now supports gp_resgroup_bypassed_queries, which displays queries running on the cluster that have bypassed resource group assignment.

VMware Tanzu Application Service (TAS)
Understanding Application Log Limit Changes Starting in TAS v3.0 – This KB article aims to raise awareness on the changes to the log limiting feature starting in Tanzu Application Service (TAS) v3.0.
Some VM’s did not upgrade to new stemcell during Apply Changes – This issue can occur if VM’s were previously marked as ‘bosh ignored’ by the platform operators. These ignored instances were not ‘unignored’ before attempting to apply the new stemcell.
Buildpack versions in TAS release note decoupling from OSS -The release notes will be incorporated into TAS release notes starting with the upcoming releases. We won’t rely on OSS at all. Check the article for the PDF of the release notes.
VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI)
Upgrade of TKGI fails during upgrade of Harbor – During Upgrade of TKGi Management console and the related components and error have been observed during harbor upgrade. Check the article for resolution.
