The Bitnami team is pleased to announce the availability of 10 new getting started guides for Azure Kubernetes Apps.
Bitnami is already one of the best ways to securely consume open source software from a rich catalog of continually updated container images. With the addition of these Azure Apps and associated guides, it’s now even easier for Azure customers using AKS to install popular applications using Bitnami images through Kubernetes Apps on the Azure Marketplace.
Bitnami is a leader in open source packaging and security, maintaining a catalog of more than 250 open source applications and components. It continually monitors for upstream changes and publishes the most up to date packages, resulting in over 1,000 releases a month. In turn, those images are pulled over 500M times a month by over 2 million developers all around the world.
Microsoft launched the Kubernetes Apps in the Microsoft Cloud Marketplace in 2022 with the goal of providing easy, one click deployment of complex software applications. You can read more about it here.
Today we are announcing the availability of 10 new guides for deploying popular open source applications using using Bitnami Marketplace. The new guides include:
- Deploy ArgoCD on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy ClickHouse on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy MinIO® on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy Prometheus Operator on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy RabbitMQ on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy Kafka on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy MongoDB on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy NGINX on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy PostgreSQL on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
- Deploy Redis on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cluster
The Power of Bitnami and Azure Together
One of the benefits of using this new format is the ability for AKS customers in particular to receive important security updates as they become available. Bitnami constantly builds fresh images of the software it maintains, especially when there is an upstream security patch. These new versions will be automatically available from the Azure marketplace, so customers can easily update to the newest, most secure version. We think this is going to make an exciting difference in the way Azure users consume and manage open source software.
We hope you enjoy these new applications. Is there an application that you would like to see added? Please let us know, we value your feedback! A great way to reach us is through GitHub Issues.
