VMware Tanzu Data Solutions
VMware Tanzu for Postgres
- Issues resolved in Tanzu Postgres 16.4.0
- Resolves a JDBC GSS checksum error when the network latency is high
- Resolves a JDBC issue where GSS package will be rejected by the server
- Features or changes in Tanzu Postgres 16.4.0:
- New extensions: postgres_exporter, (16.4.0, 15.8.0, 14.13.0: pg_graphql, pg_strom)
- etcd now installed in a separate directory as a standalone package supporting multiple PostgreSQL major versions.
- Patroni will now be installed in a separate directory as a stand along package.
- Newly added diskquote extension enables DBA to set limits on the amount of disk space used by schemas, roles and databases.
- This version of Postgres supports etcd 3.5.15 and Patroni 3.3.3

GenAI on Tanzu Platform for Cloud Foundry
- Ninth beta release of GenAI on Tanzu Platform.
- GenAI on Tanzu Platform is currently in beta and is intended for evaluation and test purposes only. Do not use it in a production environment.
- ai-server validates for deprecated/unsupported options prior to sending requests to the underlying model
- ai-server checks the request is compatible with the underlying model capabilities
- Bump genai-boshrelease, ollama, ai-server, go
- A memory leak was identified in the route_registrar component shipped with the GenAI tile. For details, see Route Registrar Memory Leak Mitigation in the Broadcom Support Knowledge Base.
- No known exploitable CVEs at time of release.

VMware Tanzu Application Service (TAS)
Trusted CA certificates missing in docker apps under “/usr/local/share/ca-certificates” – Credhub interpolation fails when executing ‘https://credhub.service.cf.internal:8844/api/v1/interpolate’ from a docker based image app in TAS.
Apps Manager is slow when querying from Metric Store in Tanzu Application Service for VMs 2.9+ – Apps Manager will take a long time to load, especially when loading Key Metrics. Some commands like restage could fail due to timeouts.

Ops Manager 3.0.29 Certificates page fails with 500 error – When attempting to open the Certificates page in Ops Manager, it fails with “500 An error occurred”.
VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Integrated Edition (TKGI)
Migrating TKGI cluster to the NSX Policy API fails with error:- no such file or directory – While migrating cluster to the NSX Policy API using tkgi promote-cluster-to-policy <cluster-name> it might fail.
