Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting Pivotal CEO Paul Maritz in Toronto. After spending the last couple of weeks travelling the globe meeting with customers in Asia, Europe and North America, Paul spent the day meeting with various customers and 350 new Pivots – former Xtreme Labs employees – in Toronto before heading home.
Maritz was accompanied by Amar Varma, GM of Mobile, and Sundeep Madra, CTO of Mobile, as they met with various customers of the former Xtreme Labs based locally in Toronto. Paul spent time educating customers about his vision for Pivotal and the need to help enterprises compete, innovate and execute faster. He also shared plans for the continued investment and expansion in Toronto and reiterated the desire to co-innovate with our customers.
After meeting with clients, Maritz presented to the Toronto-based Pivotal Labs team. He shared the Pivotal vision and story, and the role that the Toronto office will play in the future of the company. And in true Canadian spirit, Paul was presented with an Xtreme Labs hockey jersey as a small token!
In addition to building more mobile experiences for clients, the Toronto office will contribute largely to the mobile components of Pivotal’s portfolio by serving as a strategic accelerator for Pivotal’s Next-Gen PaaS Platform, which will be unveiled November 12. Stay tuned for the announcement, and sign up here to keep informed.
