While we’re winding down a busy 2013, we’re eagerly anticipating an even better 2014. One of our favorite ways to ring in the new year is by reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones at the annual CES. Amidst the A-list keynote roster, we wanted to highlight some areas that particularly caught our eye:
ARM CTO and Co-founder Michael Muller will be speaking about how big data will be affected by the Internet of things. Our family at Pivotal firmly believes that big data will only continue to play a more crucial role in companies, and half the battle is in capturing and managing big data.
We’re particularly looking forward to The Campus Computing Founding Director Casey Green hosting a panel with Heather Hiles (Founder and CEO, Pathbrite), Dylan Arena (Co-founder, Kidaptive) and Anne Dwane (Chief Business Officer, Chegg) on how big data will affect the classroom and educators in actionable ways.
Given our own background with mobile and our plans to continue pioneering that field, it’ll also be exciting to watch the Mobile Apps Showdown.
Lastly, there’s a panel moderated by Charles Furnweger (Consultant, JEDEC), entitled “Why Storage Solutions are Accelerating the Mobile Revolution.” The two panelists joining him will be Kathy Choe (NAND Flash Product Marketing Manager, Samsung) and Ye Jeon Moon (Director of Product Planning for Mobile Flash Solutions, Samsung).
