One of my goals for our certification program is to tell you about some of our internal program changes. While they may not be as obvious as something like a new certification, they still make a positive difference for our candidates.
A couple months ago, we introduced the new method of running our beta exams and the improvements that came with that change.
Over the last several months, we’ve also adjusted the amount of time you have to complete our exams delivered at a PearsonVUE test center. Depending on which exam you register for and where you live in the world, you may see this:
“Notice: Appointments for this exam, scheduled to be taken after [a specific date], will automatically include the English as a Second Language (ESL) time extension for all candidates.”
The date on the notice will vary depending on when we changed the exam time.
Everyone will now have the extra time that in the past was given only to those candidates who lived in countries where English is not the first language.
The benefits of this change include:
- All ESL candidates will receive extra time automatically and in every case.
- Non-ESL candidates also still have sufficient time and are not impacted.
- There will be enough time for ALL candidates who meet the minimum competency requirements to pass the exam.
- More efficient exam delivery processes allow us to focus on other improvements.
We’ll continue to post announcements and explanations on other program enhancements, so keep reading the blog for the latest!
