Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM 2020), in its 17th year, is an annual campaign in October that raises awareness on the importance of cybersecurity. This year’s theme is “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart” along with the key message “If you connect it, protect it.”
2020 has been an unprecedented year with a global health pandemic, an increasingly remote workforce, and the upcoming 2020 U.S. presidential election creating a “perfect storm” for cybercriminals ramping up their malicious activities. Sixty-four percent of incident response and security professionals surveyed believe the 2020 presidential election is at more risk than in 2016, according to the recent VMware Carbon Black Global Incident Response Threat Report.
In the face of all these cybersecurity challenges, everyone can help defend against these attacks and rethink their security posture.
We created the following Cybersecurity Awareness Checklist based on insights and best practices from The Howlers, our trusted advisors, and security strategists who address industry, analyze threat trends and cybersecurity challenges.
Download and share this Cybersecurity Awareness checklist with your team members, partners, and customers. While October is the month that’s dedicated to raising awareness, cybersecurity should be a year-round concern for all members of an organization.
