WAN Summit: The View From the Other Side—Experiences with SD-WAN Post-Implementation

We are in the midst of a busy momentum season and well on our way to VMworld Europe in Barcelona. But before that, I’m headed to London to speak at the WAN Summit next week. We’ve been participating in this event for years, as it is one of the main WAN conferences in the industry and a great place to connect with and learn more from enterprise end users.

While SD-WAN has been a hot topic for a few years now, this conference is especially relevant as IHS Markit predicted earlier this month that SD-WAN revenue will rise to $4.4 billion in 2023. Check out the article to learn more and make a short list of questions you want to get answered during the WAN Summit next week given the exciting growth we are seeing in this space.

If you are at the event, stop by our table to meet with our experts and get your questions answered. And don’t forget to join us to learn more about network management with SD-WAN from a panel of seasoned industry experts. I’m going to be talking with Robin Atkin (Network Architect, Barclays), Peter Job (CEO, Intergence), Andy Gottlieb (VP, SD-WAN Solutions, Oracle Communications) and Nick Conway (Senior Manager Smart Networks, Wavestone) about this topic and more. Some highlights of what you can expect us to discuss below:

  • How does SD-WAN performance compare to expectations?
  • How do you define a successful POC?
  • What are the key lessons WAN managers should take away from the POC process?
  • How has SD-WAN changed day-to-day operations for the WAN manager and network architects on the team?
  • How has SD-WAN impacted overall WAN spending?
  • What are the key things everyone in the room considering SD-WAN should avoid?
  • What virtual network functions do WAN managers most often deploy with SD-WAN?
  • What are the key concerns with VNFs and service orchestration?
  • How should enterprises encourage SD-WAN adoption internally?

If you can’t join but still want to learn more about these topics, leave me a comment below and we’ll be happy to connect with you. Or, check out this blog post which answers common SD-WAN questions.
