Each quarter the EMEA Education Services team names one instructor the VMware Certified Instructor (VCI) of the Quarter. In addition to this quarterly prize, at VMworld Europe last month we also awarded three other VCIs a Certification of Achievement. These individuals were chosen by the EMEA Education leadership team for making an outstanding contribution to the region.
EMEA VCI of the Quarter Award for July to September – Tibor Gaal
Tibor Gaal from Hungary works for Arrow and delivered several vSphere, and vRealize operations classes this quarter across EMEA. His evaluation scores for that period were a perfect five out of five on each of the three instructor categories across nine separate courses. A feat which demonstrates remarkable excellence and consistency.
Tibor has been working with VMware technology for the past 10 years and has been a VCI since 2009. In addition to advanced certifications like VCAP, he also holds partner accreditations like VTSP. He is one of the instructors who is regularly first to teach new courses and this year was no exception being amongst the first to teach the updated vSphere V6 courses like Optimize and Scale. He is a member of the local VMUG community in Hungary where he regularly gives presentations.
Certification of Achievement – Piotr Branka
Piotr Branka from Poland wins this award for delivering the most classes since the start of the quarter, with 10 classes including vSphere, Site Recovery Manager, and Design classes. Some of the comments from his students are:

Certification of Achievement – Khalil Hammoudi
Khalil Hammoudi from Algeria wins this award for being consistently amongst the first to deliver new VMware courses. This period he led the way on the new vRealize Automation courses and the vSphere Bootcamp for which he received perfect marks from his students. Being able to teach an 80 hour course like the Bootcamp in a week is no easy task. Our operations teams here at VMware speak very highly of Khalil and how well he supports his students. Certification of Achievement – Jens Henkies
Jens Henkies from Germany wins this award for the best evaluations. This quarter he scored perfect five out of fives in all three evaluation categories on several occasions. Some of the comments from his students include
