Gareth Bagley Named EMEA VCI of the Quarter

garethThe EMEA VMware Certified Instructor (VCI) of the Quarter award is a regular prize given to VCIs that aspire to be the best of the best. The awards are our version of the “Oscars” identifying and rewarding excellence. The award recognises outstanding VCIs from the EMEA region who share their expertise about VMware technologies with others. The award is designed to support, promote, and develop VCIs by inspiring them to continually raise the standards of training.

The EMEA VCI of the Quarter for the period of April to June 2015 is Gareth Bagley from the United Kingdom. Over the quarter he delivered several classes including vSphere, Horizon, vCloud Automation, and vRealize Operations. On many of these he received feedback such as:

  • “Fantastic instructor, excellent knowledge and presentation skills. Very enjoyable”
  • “Instructor BEST EVER!!!”
  • “One of the best instructors I’ve had. Great presenter. Patient. Polite. Uses humour. Technically savvy. In-depth knowledge. Also, I like the idea of drawing on the slides. Makes it so much easier to pay attention to the right things. Good use of pauses in between each point!”

Gareth was a top VCI in the region terms of number of days teaching, he was also top in evaluation scores. While on platform every week he managed to deliver an impressively wide range of courses to a very high standard. Gareth also leads his students by example holding VMware certifications from every solution track. He also added the vSphere V6 and the vRealize Operations set of products to his already diverse set of skills.

Thanks also to all our VCIs, the decision this quarter as always was very difficult.

Congratulations to Gareth!
