For the past 2 and a half years or so I have been a member of the VMware Technical Account Manager or TAM team. During this time I have had the privilege of working with some of the smartest and most enthusiastic people in the IT industry. I have also been active in the community publishing a weekly newsletter which is used by almost every TAM at VMware across the world. The TAM newsletter is basically my contribution to the TAM community and is a collection of what I think are the best blogs and other news items, written by the many smart folk out there who work with VMware technology, which I then include into a simple digest format and make available. This is something I am very proud of and is not going away anytime soon.
In the past few years however I have felt quite guilty doing this, as all of the bloggers out there work tirelessly to create interesting blogs all I do is take these and pass them onto others. Yes I add an editorial at the beginning of each newsletter which I try and keep topical or related to the contents of the newsletter, and yes I probably provide some sort of a basic service of making a simple to read weekly digest of all the best VMware news from around the web but in terms of my contribution, I feel it has been at the low end of zero.
So from today all of this changes. This blog, the "VMware TAM Program Blog for Asia Pacific and Japan" is going to be my contribution to the VMware world and hopefully it will even be good enough to include in my weekly newsletter and elicit a few views from the dedicated newsletter readers out there and a few others who might stumble across it.
I plan on writing about all of the stuff that interests me around the world of VMware and hopefully in doing that and sharing my passion for technology I will provide you with something interesting and entertaining to read, and if you want comment on as well.
So wish me luck as I venture out into the VMware Blog world, but with baby steps and a wonderful journey ahead
