VMworld 2017 US and Europe Highlights

As summer drifts into autumn, we’re thrilled to close out another successful season of VMworlds, both in the United States and Europe.

Couldn’t attend VMworld this year? No problem! We’ve collected some of the highlights from this exciting event.

Education Services Breakouts

During this year’s conference, our outstanding VMware Certified Instructors (VCIs) presented breakout sessions on a variety of topics. Popular breakouts included the vSAN and vSphere troubleshooting sessions, a how-to on understanding and avoiding common issues with virtual encryption, and a presentation with preparation advice for those working toward their VMware Certified Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV) certification.

Education and Certification Lounge

Hosted in VMvillage, our Education and Certification Lounge was once again a major hit for those wishing to advance their knowledge of VMware products. This year, our sessions covered a broad range of topics, including everything from insights into the power of instant clones, app volumes, and UEMs to advanced troubleshooting tips for NSX. Video replays from these sessions are available on the Education  Services Facebook page, so be sure to check them out!

VCDX Workshop

As usual, the VCDX workshop was hugely popular at both VMworld US and VMworld Europe. During this workshop, participants gained invaluable insights on how to prepare for the VCDX certification. VCDX experts presented information, tips, and success strategies for selecting and developing a solution design, putting together the VCDX application and supporting documentation, and creating and delivering the design overview. Needless to say, we’ll be doing this workshop again next year, and we look forward to watching this year’s attendees make progress toward this prestigious certification.

For those of you who attended VMworld 2017 US or Europe, thank you all for making these events so exciting, educational, and fun. And for those of you who missed this year, we hope to see you during the next season of VMworld!
