With all the VMworld 2010 activities, I missed the announcement of VMware vCenter Application Discovery Manager 6.1 release. vCenter ADM provides automated, ongoing discovery and dependency mapping capability for applications / services running in your physical, virtual and mixed data centers. vCenter Application Discovery Manager (ADM) is one of the Ionix products that VMware acquired few months ago.
vCenter ADM 6.1 release now makes this product available for delivery and deployment as a virtual appliance. This new VM delivery provides tremendous flexibility and wider coverage options for customer deployments. It also allows existing customers on physical appliances to expand deployments with VMs for maximum value.
To learn more, visit the vCenter ADM product page. You can check ADM 6.1 Release Notes and
product documentation. Also check out the ADM Product Support Center for download access and support information.
