Today at VMworld San Francisco, VMware announced vRealize Network Insight 5.0. In the first half of 2019, vRealize Network Insight made rapid strides to realizing its vision of being the platform for pervasive application, security and network visibility by adding support for Amazon AWS, VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware Enterprise PKS, Kubernetes and OpenShift managed Container environments. vRealize Network Insight 5.0 continues this momentum by making another giant leap – adding support for Microsoft Azure and VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud.
vRealize Network Insight for SD-WAN (VeloCloud)
- End-to-End Visibility of SD-WAN connectivity to the cloud and data center
- Flow and Traffic analysis of Applications and Business services used by the Edge sites
- Site/Branch level visibility and troubleshooting of Applications to the data center and cloud.
As enterprises continue to adopt hybrid and multi cloud strategies, they require visibility into their many applications, on-premises as well as in the public cloud. Network Insight aims to solve this problem. vRealize Network Insight 5.0 builds on VMware’s Virtual Cloud Network vision by expanding application security and network connectivity & visibility from the data center, to the cloud, to the branch. In our 5.0 release we bring end-to-end site visibility into one integrated view, with vRealize Network Insight for SD-WAN. With our VeloCloud integration you gain path visibility from applications running in the data center to the cloud and to the end user at remote branches. Including both overlay and underlay networking. While traditionally companies manage the data center and branch using different tools, with vRealize Network Insight for SD-WAN network admins can pull in all data and metrics and gain visibility from the data center to the branch into one integrated view.
Visibility and Security analysis for Public Cloud Azure
In addition to adding VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud visibility, vRealize Network Insight 5.0 brings added support for Microsoft Azure. Enterprise IT need continuous visibility into the network and security status of their workloads as enterprises continue to adopt hybrid cloud strategies. With the release of vRealize Network Insight 5.0, Microzoft Azure support is now available. This release provides Application Discovery, Application Dependency Mapping, Security Recommendations, Network Flow Analysis, and a single pane of glass throughout the Azure resource inventory. Use the same single pane of glass to manage and monitor your on-premises, VMware Cloud on AWS, Amazon AWS, and Microsoft Azure applications.
