Dashboards in vRealize Operations provide a phenomenal way to customize how you display information about your environment. As you add management packs to gain visibility into the network components in your environment, some dashboards are provided out-of-the-box. Below are some of the provided dashboards in various network management packs that you can use and customize to your use cases.
#1 Cisco Networking Environment
Part of the new Cisco Networking integration in Blue Medora’s True Visibility Suite, this dashboard gives you access to a high level view of your Cisco networking components. The left half of the dashboard shows your Cisco networking stack, from switches to HSRP groups to ports and more. Clicking on any items in this area will highlight the components it is related to in the same widget.

On the right half is the health badge history, Cisco networking alerts, KPIs, and configuration properties. Some of the KPI’s displayed include memory and CPU utilization, sent/received/total throughput, and packet metrics.
#2 F5 BIG IP Relationships
This dashboard is provided by the F5 BIG-IP integration in the True Visibility Suite and provides a view very similar to the previous dashboard. The left side of the dashboard displays the different layers within F5 BIG-IP such as System, Application Service, Virtual Server, Pool, Node, and more. Selecting any item here will highlight the hierarchy of related resources. The right half displays health history, status details, configuration properties, and performance KPI’s of the resource selected in the hierarchy.

#3 SolarWinds NPM Used by ESXi Hosts
This dashboard is provided in the SolarWinds NPM integration in the True Visibility Suite. To use this dashboard, you select an ESXi Host in the upper left widget. Once selected, the rest of the dashboard will populate based on the relationships between the selected host and the network components monitored by SolarWinds NPM. The specific SolarWinds NPM Node is displayed below the ESXi Host, followed by a topology map displaying additional relationships.
The right half of the dashboard populates performance KPI’s based on the resources selected. The top right widget displays Host KPI’s such as CPU and memory usage, network usage, packets dropped, and read/write latency. The second KPI widget displays information about the SolarWinds NPM Node. Finally, the bottom KPI widget shows performance information about the resource selected in the topology widget.
