I wanted to provide you with an update on some of the recent updates to VMware vCenter Hyperic and of course the relevant content that can be consumed through VMware vCenter Operations Manager.
Microsoft SQL server plugin now supports Microsoft SQL Server 2014. In addition to supporting the new version of MSSQL we have updated some of the default metrics following customer feedback.
Microsoft Exchange Server plugin now supports Microsoft Exchange Server 2013. Exchange 2013 is being modeled in a different way in Hyperic (compared to previous editions), to better reflect both single machine deployments and enterprise deployments.
Microsoft Hyper-V plugin now supports version 2012R2 as part of the vCenter Operations Management Pack for Hyperic. Once you update the plugin in Hyperic, the out of the box dashboards will automatically work with the updated server.
IBM DB2 database plugin has been updated to support version 10.x. Verification of this plugins have been done on the most popular platforms which include Windows, Linux and AIX.
Oracle DB plugin has been updated to support version 12c of the database on all Hyperic supported platforms.
