Shhhhhh… A New Learning Platform is Coming!

We are excited to announce VMware Customer Connect Learning will be migrating to a new platform on July 22, 2023! Along with the new experience for our students, we will also be updating the name from VMware Customer Connect Learning to VMware Digital Learning. With more features and benefits, our updated platform will offer more ways to learn today’s most in-demand skills. 

Designed to support the skills of tomorrow

Based on student feedback, we are revamping the current learning experience. Students today need a modern redesigned structure for multi-cloud jobs of tomorrow. What is the result? Our learning portal is being redesigned to give you a better user experience and all the resources you need to find the right course. If you are wondering what changed, here’s a brief rundown.

Some of the new features include: 

  • Enhanced digital experience and improved search functionality
  • Streamlined management of course materials and resources
  • Catalog-based formal training including courses and learning plans
  • Informal content channels 
  • Improved On Demand course navigation experience
  • External links to resources such as ILT, certification, transcripts, and more

In the coming weeks, we will dive deeper into the above topics, talk about the benefits of each area, and how you can incorporate them into your learning strategy.

We are creating a series of blog posts in the coming months to give tips and advice on how to make the most out of your learning experience. Additionally, we will cover commonly asked questions on navigating to content on the new portal. Finally, we’ll direct you to an area of the portal where you can find additional resources to keep you up to date.  

Migration Planning

We understand that you might have questions about the migration. Our goal is to make this seamless for our customers and we are here to help you every step of the way. Rest assured that we will do everything possible to ensure the migration goes smoothly.

Here is what you need to know:

  1. Course Tracking: In preparation for this migration, please take a screen capture of your progress. This can include labs and/or course modules completed. Using this image, you can confirm that your progress was accurately transferred. 
  2. Possible downtime: We will be performing system maintenance on July 21, 2023, starting at 5:00 p.m. Pacific until 11:59 p.m. Pacific. There will be no access to your courses at this time. In addition, there may be some intermittent downtime on July 22, 2023 – July 23, 2023, which may prevent you from accessing the courses consistently. Please plan your learning schedule accordingly to maximize your learning experience. 

We would like to emphasize that this migration will not affect your subscription status. Following the launch of the new platform, you will be automatically redirected to the revised web address. If you have any questions following the launch, our support staff is available at [email protected].
