Join us at VMware Explore
Las Vegas, Nevada | The Venetian
August 25 – 28, 2025
Written By: Brad Tompkins, Executive Director, VMware User Group (VMUG)
Every year, VMware Explore is at the top of my must-go events – in fact I’ve gone so many years I’ve lost track. This year, Las Vegas is about to be taken over, yet again, by some of the best in our industry.
Now, you’ve probably heard Explore described as the “flagship event for all things VMware software,” and that’s true. But for me—and for so many in our VMUG community—it’s more than that. It’s where we connect with each other. It’s where the people behind the screens become friends, mentors, and collaborators.
You’ll See Familiar Faces (and Meet New Ones Too)
Whether it’s someone from your local VMUG chapter, a presenter whose session changed how you approach your work, or a new friend you’ll meet over coffee between sessions—Explore is a place where real connections happen. These are the people who “get” what you do, and many of them will become part of your personal and professional circle long after the event is over.

You Can Get Certified and Feel Accomplished
Thinking about leveling up your skills? At Explore, you can take VMware certification exams onsite which are gamechangers for your career. What’s better yet this year? With the Full Event Pass, your first exam is free! Whether it’s your first cert or your fifth, it’s a great way to build your credentials while surrounded by others cheering you on.
Learn More About VMUG From Legacy Members to Our Staff
We’ll be there all week hosting meetups, talking with members, and sharing what’s next for VMware User Group. In fact, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the VMUG Member Reception (details coming soon) that you don’t want to pass up. Whether you’re curious about upcoming programs, want to get involved as a local leader, or just want to grab some swag and say hi—we’re excited to connect with you in person.
Catch the Latest on VCF 9 and Other Big Innovations
If you want the inside scoop on where things are headed, especially around VMware Cloud Foundation 9, VMware Explore is where to hear it. Sessions, demos, expert panels, Q&As—it’s all there. And the best part? You’ll hear how real people are using these technologies and how you can apply them to your own infrastructure.
You Belong Here
The VMUG spirit really shines at VMware Explore. You’re not just attending sessions, you are sharing stories, building friendships, and finding inspiration.
So come for the learning. Come for the technology. But most of all, come for the people. We’ll be there, and we want to see you.
If you haven’t registered yet, here’s your link.
Let’s make it the best Explore yet.
Warmly,
Brad Tompkins
