Today, is an exciting day for the End-User Computing team at VMware.
The company announced a new partnership with endpoint security solution provider, Tanium, that introduces a brand new endpoint security and management solution, VMware TrustPoint. TrustPoint combines the endpoint security platform of Tanium with VMware’s layered OS migration technology, to deliver an integrated solution for unified endpoint management and security. TrustPoint provides rapid visibility and control of every endpoint across global networks, next-generation threat detection and remediation, endpoint and application management and automated Windows image migration and management.
In the video here and below, Shankar Iyer, vice president of product management for desktop solutions in the End-User Computing (EUC) group at VMware recently sat down with Kevin Chu, vice president of technology at Tanium, to discuss the new partnership and TrustPoint.
Their discussion focuses on:
- Current trends around endpoint security and endpoint management
- Challenges facing enterprises when upgrading to Windows 10 and vulnerabilities on corporate endpoints
- The value proposition of TrustPoint
The world of endpoint security and endpoint management is converging. Combining endpoint security and automated Windows image migration into a single solution, TrustPoint can help IT administrators provide improved security with better endpoint hygiene, real-time threat detection and incident response and remediation. With Windows 10, accelerating the replacement of legacy client management tools, VMware now offers a complete portfolio of unified endpoint management solutions with TrustPoint for endpoint security and VMware AirWatch for endpoint management.
