Project Antrea: An Open Source Kubernetes Networking Solution you can contribute to!
with Antonin Bas and Cody McCain

Project Antrea is a Kubernetes (K8s) network plugin which was open-sourced by VMware in November 2019 and is part of the Tanzu portfolio. Based on Open vSwitch, it provides container networking, service load-balancing and network policy enforcement. It also integrates with several monitoring and troubleshooting solutions, such as Octant and Prometheus. In this session, we will go beyond a simple introduction of Antrea and we will show you how you can make some concrete contributions to the project. Starting from a feature request, we will show the different steps involved in implementing, testing, and getting the patch accepted in upstream Antrea.

From 0 to 60 with Knative – Deploying your first app on the Kubernetes based platform

with Leon Stigter

As developers, we all want to be more productive. Knative, a Kubernetes based platform to deploy and manage modern serverless works, helps to do just that. The idea behind Knative is to abstract away the complexity of building apps on top of Kubernetes as much as possible. How can you get Knative running on your local machine to try a few things out or even develop your apps? In this session, we’ll look at setting up a Kubernetes cluster, installing Knative, and building an app.
