Simplify Kubernetes development with Octant by Mark Foley

Octant is a fantastic open-source tool for working with Kubernetes. It helps you understand how your applications is running on Kubernetes as well as providing a number of troubleshooting and debugging your application. This session provides an overview of Octant capabilities and how it can simplify Kubernetes development.

Kubernetes on Raspberry Pi with Eric Nielsen

VMware{code} Experience will is a combination of 45 minutes session and 1 hour coding lesson on how to install and run Kubernetes on Raspberry Pi’s. The session will cover configuring the OS to install a Kubernetes Master node as well as the initialization of the Master Node. The session will also cover setting up and running a workload on worker nodes on Raspberry Pi.

Cross platform Augmented Reality development with Unity by Arjun Dube

In this session we will walk through creating a multi-platform Unity project which supports iOS, Android and Lumin (Magic Leap). We will create a simple example app that makes use of some of the foundational components of augmented reality development i.e. Image tracking, 3D object tracking, Plane detection, Ray casting and Animations. Our sample app will help you put together a LEGO model with 3D animated instructions overlaid over your manual.

Arjun Dube is the Architect for AR/VR at xLabs in the Office of the CTO. Arjun leads the R&D efforts for spatial computing (Augmented and Virtual Reality) at VMware. He previously worked on the APIs and SDKs for the vRealize and Cloud Automation Services product suites. He is focused on building robust software and teams.
