VMware {code} Community Events VMworld Europe

VMworld EU Hackathon Highlights- In Photos

The VMworld EU Hackathon was a night of great fun, coding, networking, and resulted in some great projects! From 7PM to midnight, participants worked together to create projects leveraging Kubernetes, vRO, and much more. The event was held at the Esferic in Barcelona, a site used as the Science Pavilion during the world exhibition of 1929. Although it was pouring outside, the rain did not dampen spirits and the night led to great results.

Our first place team, Container Quest, created a Conway’s Game of Life implementation over docker containers with kubernetes, and a series of VMware-based technologies. Different technologies they leveraged in their project included:  VMware Kubernetes Engine (PKS por Public Cloud Services) – Kubernetes, Docker, VMware Clarity Project, VMware Wavefront – Python, Javascript, JSON, Powershell. You can watch their full project presentation here
