Scoring rubric

TWO categories of judging: Best month long project & Best “day of” completion.

ONE overall winner!

As with last year, we want to continue to emphasize collaborating and learning with the community. Performance will be evaluated against the following five criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Usefulness
  • Presentation/pitch
  • Team collaboration
  • Fun/learning

All participants will receive swag, regardless of  “placing”! We want everyone to have a great time, meet new people, and learn!

Judges info can be found here

Judging process

Judges will be asked to interact with the teams throughout the evening to understand what problems are being solved and how, assess team collaboration and prepare for the final scoring later in the evening.

In other words, your teams will be evaluated throughout the evening, so it’s not just the pitch presentation that counts.

It’s a surprise 😉

If you have more questions please reach out to skripa@vmware.com

As always, a special thanks to William Lam and Alan Renouf for supporting the {code} program, developing a foundation for events and encouraging collaboration within the community
