It’s here Cloud Director 10.4, and what a lineup! Cloud Director continues to deliver exceptional cloud application and infrastructure services and this release is no different with the following highlights; monetize NSX Advanced Load Balancer services in Cloud Director UI, static routing on Edge gateways, catalog sync task visibility, storage IOPS limit visibility, simple migration for VMs without shared storage, terraform updates, Container Service Extension updates and much more.
What does this all mean? Cloud Director has a proven history of providing operational improvements and new capabilities for customers and is deployed by 80% of our top 200 providers, it continues to accelerate growth beyond the non-Cloud Director partners. 10.4 is delivering improvements in networking and security, operations, and core platform components. Removing some of the previous blockers to NSX Advanced Load Balancer adoption, providers can now monetize advanced load balancing components (without complex licensing concerns) in the Cloud Director UI. And although maybe late to the game, static routing is now enabled at the edge where previously only dynamic routing protocols were available. Catalog sync has had a complete overhaul now providing complete visibility into sync tasks and also enabling fast cross vCenter catalog instantiation over shared storage.
