In this episode I’m joined by Sachi Bhatt, Technical Product Manger for Container Service Extension (CSE), to discuss the updates to Container Service Extension a critical component for Dev Ready Cloud solutions for our Cloud Partners. We cover the CSE service component, CSE CLI plugin and CSE UI and how these components work for each persona in the Dev Ready Cloud environment; the Cloud Provider admin, the tenant admin and the developer user.
With the shift from Virtual Machines to Container services, many cloud providers are still making the transition, and although much of this is driven by customer demand, it is a service that cloud providers need to start offering to meet future customer demands for application modernization. VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) is a critical component supporting this with isolated, secure workloads, validated and pre-integrated components and a certified Kubernetes distribution, bolstered by the global Kubernetes community. In this session we discuss why Cloud Providers should consider TKG with CSE and how Cloud Providers can provision production ready TKG clusters on VMware Cloud Director and deliver a multi-control plane for TKG clusters.
