Welcome to Feature Fridays!
This is a new initiative to help enable our partners get the most out of their investment in the VMware Cloud Provider Platform.
Each week we will release a new video covering a different topic in more depth. The content will be mostly technical but will also cover services that are feasible with the features. Keep an eye out on this blog site to see when a new video is released.
This week I’m joined by Romain Decker (Staff Technical Product Manager) to discuss the new NSX Advanced Load Balancer from Avi Networks. This load balancer replaces the default NSX-V load balancer and provides parity functionality in it’s basic form included in the Flex Core, but can offer so much more; multi-cloud load balancing, web application firewall, application analytics and container ingress services across on-premises data centers and any cloud. Note that with VMware Cloud Director we have achieved an initial functionality with the NSX Advanced Load Balancer within VMware Cloud Director 10.2 and many additional features will need to be executed externally – this will change over time. Watch the Feature Friday here to find out more about how you can use the NSX Advanced Load Balancer today in VMware Cloud Director and what additional services you can plan as managed services.
Of course, if you have feedback or there is a feature you would like to see discussed, please let us know. Email [email protected] and we will find the best resource to give us the overview.
Now, it’s Friday 😊 and the weekend is almost here! Maybe it’s around lunch time wherever you are in the world, so go and grab something to eat 🥪 or a cup of coffee ☕️ and settle in to a 30 minute run down about Advanced Load Balancer!
