MSPs can transact with AWS for VMware Cloud on AWS
We are excited to announce that as a MSP, you can now purchase VMware Cloud Services from AWS using your Amazon Web Services Enterprise Discount Program (AWS EDP) or other AWS programs. VMware MSPs can take advantage of AWS partner benefits and maintain operational consistency with VMware’s management tool VMware Cloud Provider Hub. With this new option, you will be billed directly from AWS.
New Flexibility to Engage Directly with AWS
At launch, we will support VMware Cloud on AWS but we plan to support other services in the future.
As an MSP, you will work directly with AWS for each opportunity. The first time you sign an order with AWS you will receive an onboarding invitation email. Following instructions in the onboarding invitation email, you will create a provider organization in VMware Cloud Provider Hub and then be able to provision VMware Cloud on AWS for your end customers.
Steps outlining onboarding to Cloud Provider Hub and provisioning service
A new provider org needs to be created the first time you purchase from AWS even if you have an existing provider org with VMware.
You can use Cloud Provider Hub for the granular role based access control, service lifecycle management, viewing tenant usage, and filing support tickets on behalf of your tenants. You will continue to receive support from VMware.
