Blair Fritz

Blair has been working in IT since 2003 where he started his adventures by working at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Since then, he’s has nearly 20 years of experience as a support engineer and technologist, ranging from systems engineer, staff escalation engineer, technical lead and solutions architect roles. He started at VMware in mid-2012 where he has held a range of roles, from Technical Support Engineer, to Solutions Architect - formerly leading up VMware’s VMware Validated Design’s Operations team as one of the primary architects around SDDC Lifecycle, to Product Manager where he focused on both Lifecycle as well as Managed Services for modern application development on VMware Cloud. You may see some of his contributions to the VMware portfolio in the Upgrade Sequence knowledge base articles (among many others!), the VMware Validated Design’s Upgrade Architecture & Design as well as VMware Cloud on AWS’s Upgrade Architecture & Design, along with vSphere Lifecycle Manager and Tanzu Services on VMware Cloud. Blair lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wonderful, patient wife, Jenny, and their two dogs, Theo and Ducky. When he isn’t working, you’ll likely find him bike riding, playing tennis, or playing any number of board or role playing games.
