Powered by VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), our joint offering brings the best of both worlds- private cloud and public cloud- to our customers. It is the most mature and ONE AND ONLY jointly engineered VCF service that is fully managed, delivered, operated, and supported by VMware by Broadcom, and that runs on the latest version of VMware Cloud Foundation. VMware Cloud on AWS is the preferred service for all vSphere-based workloads, that delivers the best performance and hardened security of VMware Cloud Foundation coupled with agility, scalability, resiliency, and latest innovations from AWS. Continuous Innovation in Full Swing

Since day one, our approach has been centered around addressing the needs of our customers. VMware Cloud on AWS has continually evolved, driven by the valuable feedback and insights provided by our users resulting in a remarkable trajectory of continuous innovation within VMware Cloud on AWS.

And this is not the destination. We are committed to our continuous innovation journey. Here are some highlights of our recent product enhancements:

  • Support next-gen AI/ML workloads with M7i instance type: Today, we are happy to announce that M7i instance type is now generally available. With the launch of m7i.metal-24xl instance type, we are introducing a new disaggregated infrastructure option where we break the link between compute and storage giving customers more flexibility to choose their storage and compute options independently, which helps them optimize their infrastructure costs for specific use cases. An Amazon EC2 m7i.metal-24xl instance is powered by a custom 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor that offers the CPU with the most built-in accelerators that help improve performance efficiency for emerging workloads such as AI/ML workloads, analytics or HPC workloads.
  • Strengthen the security posture of an infrastructure with advanced security features available out of the box: Starting Feb 1, 2024, for all the SDDCs (new and existing), the advanced security features of NSX Firewall – Distributed Firewall (Layer 7 Application ID, Identity Firewall and FQDN Filtering) are now included in the VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC at no extra cost. This will help customers harden the security of their infrastructure with granular resource isolation, stronger policy enforcement, reduced risk of unauthorized access and zero-trust architecture.
  • Enterprise grade cloud management available at no extra cost: As per the announcement last summer, new SDDCs deployed and new subscriptions purchased after Aug 31, 2023 are entitled to Aria Universal Suite Advanced at no extra cost. Now, customers can make cloud management more efficient with enterprise grade cloud management capabilities offered by Aria Automation, Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Logs.
