To get started with VMware Cloud on AWS every customer is required to complete the onboarding process. This involves setting up your VMware Cloud organization, configuring a Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), and establishing some form of external connectivity to that SDDC.
Prior to onboarding, it’s important to understand the basic concepts of the service as well as the required prerequisites. It’s equally important to understand the high-level architecture of an SDDC and to have a firm understanding of the options available for getting workloads into an SDDC.
We have published an On-Boarding Handbook to help you prepare for onboarding. The material used in this guide is the same which we use in our initial consultations with new customers, and is designed to evolve in tandem with the service.
We highly recommend that all new and prospective customers review this handbook before getting started with the service to help ensure a successful onboarding.
