In today’s ecosystem, it’s important for developers and platform engineers to continually adapt to evolving technologies. The rapid growth of AI has caused enterprises to evaluate different use cases on how to implement this cutting-edge technology into their existing platforms without compromising on security.
To address these concerns, VMware is excited to announce a beta program to bring AI functionality to VMware Tanzu Application Service that is launching later this fiscal quarter. Customers interested in running private AI services within their Tanzu Application Service environment can sign up for this beta program to get early access to what we are building within the Tanzu Application Service ecosystem utilizing private AI technologies.
We aim to extend the overall functionality of the Tanzu Application Service platform as the beta program progresses to understand our customers’ use cases for private AI. We’re excited to share how these latest capabilities can open up the world of AI for developers and platform engineers to build and run applications on top of Tanzu Application Service.
What would AI running on Tanzu Application Service look like?
Some of these capabilities could include:
“ChatGPT-style” applications running inside a Tanzu Application Service foundation
BOSH-deployed large language model (LLM) tiles to be hosted within your Tanzu Application Service foundations
Private access to these LLM tile(s) utilizing your existing Tanzu Application Service network space inside your data centers or virtual private clouds
Being able to use the `cf push` interface to build and run private AI-based applications
Extending the Tanzu Application Service marketplace with offerings that allow for direct service bindings to LLMs
