Each year we provide blogger passes to both the VMworld US and the VMworld Europe conferences. The program is simple: if you are a blogger or have a publication then you should apply for a complementary blogger pass to one of the conferences. We provide the pass, you provide the transportation and hotel accommodations. The blogger passes are full conference passes so you will still be able to register for sessions just the same as a regular conference pass difference is these are free of charge.
Since passes are limited, we will only provide one pass per person per year. Meaning you can go to either VMworld US in San Francisco or VMworld Europe in Barcelona. Keep in mind that in the past we have always had more passes to San Francisco then Barcelona and both are limited.
Last year I learned my lesson by picking bloggers early and not providing a cut off date and at the last minute we were flooded with requests from great bloggers like yourselves and we had to make some tough choices. I think at the time we had 4 passes with 15 applications. This year there is a deadline and the date for VMworld US is June 13th at Midnight PDT. Deadline for VMworld Europe is July 1st, which is only a couple of weeks later, but an earlier deadline will allow you to have the necessary time to arrange hotel and air travel accommodations. If you want to attend VMworld with a blogger pass, please fill out the form right away so we can allocate passes.
Not everyone will be chosen for a blogger pass since the passes are limited and I’m sure we will see a tremendous response this year.
