During Mendel's keynote we showcased a really amazing feature, VMware OnDemand streaming technology.
It really is the next generation OS streaming done the right way.
They showed the new yet-to-be-published browser appliance being executed directly from VMTN.
Using prefetch technology VMware Player can prefetch the blocks that matter to start executing the VM.
The application for this is truly remarkable. Welcome to the new world of application distribution.
This can work with VDI as well and will "Probably be on of the big use cases".
