Don't you worry, bovine. This particular upgrade will have the slowest uptake in VMware Fusion history. It's only got one change, and you don't want it.

Ah yes, I see other sites reporting that Fusion 4.1.1 removes the ability to run Mac OS X Snow Leopard client (or older Mac OS X client) in a VM, that 4.1.0 had just introduced. Seemingly a major mistake that they had to backtrack on.

The ability to create a Snow Leopard virtual machine is a feature, not a bug, and should not have been removed from Fusion. Being able to run orphan programs that are no longer being updated for Lion is really useful for a lot of users. What is Apple's problem? And why is VMWare not standing up for its users?

I just upgraded my license to V4 so that i could run OSX Leopard as a VM because i have got an old app - Quark X Press and it wont run on anything higher. I cant afford to upgrade Quark just to open and edit some older files hanging around.
Now i find after upgrading VMware that the 'feature' i bought it for has been removed by a patch, WHAT THE?
That sucks.... how long till it comes back and how do i get hold of V4.1.0 in the meantime?
