VMware Fusion & Workstation Going Free: Customer Feedback and New Resources

Since the announcement that VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation would be available for free starting November 11, 2024, we’ve seen a positive response from users across commercial, educational, and personal sectors. With this change, users now have access to these desktop hypervisor tools at no cost, and we’re pleased to see the impact it’s having.

Positive Customer Response and Feedback

Since the transition to the free model, we’ve received valuable feedback from users who have taken advantage of the opportunity to use VMware Fusion and Workstation without any cost. Many customers have shared how the tools are meeting their needs and supporting their projects, and we’ve heard that the accessibility of these products has helped users streamline their workflows and improve productivity.

Customers using the Free VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation products are NOT ENTITLED TO SUPPORT THROUGH THE GLOBAL SUPPORT TEAM.  Broadcom encourages all users to continue providing their feedback by posting their questions, concerns, and issues on our various community portals (FUSION & WORKSTATION) that are geared best at answering these questions.
