Technical Marketing Manager (Storage)
Hello from Las Vegas.
It is definitely a lot warmer here than in Europe at the moment, which is great. After flying via London Heathrow to get here, and seeing how white & frosty London looked, its nice to get some winter sun.
I've just completed my registration this morning and got hold of the pocket guide which lists all the events taking place this week.
I wanted to pick out a few storage sessions to attend, and after reading through the sessions listings, this is what I'm going to try and get to this week.
Tuesday, Feb 14th
- CIM 1221 – Selling vSphere Storage Appliance (VSA) successfully
- Room: Delfino 4005
- Time: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
If you are interested in a technical session, then this also looks good, but unfortunately there is a time clash (isn't it always the way at these conferences?)
- CIM1552 – vStorage Best Practices
- Room: Marcello 4402
- Time: 1:30pm – 3:30pm
- CIM1369 – vSphere 5.0 Performance
- Room: Marcello 4502
- Time: 4pm – 5pm
Wednesday, Feb 15th
- CIM1305 – Disaster Recovery to the Cloud using SRM
- Room: Lando 4302
- Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
I believe that CIM1305 is more of a sales session rather than a technical session, fyi.
- CIM1231 – vSphere Storage Appliance Deep Dive
- Room: Marcello 4402
- Time: 3pm – 5pm
Well, CIM1231 is my own session, so I guess I've no choice but to attend that one 🙂 More about that session here, including my goofy video advertising the session.
Thursday, Feb 16th
- CIM1265 – SRM 5.0 & vSphere Replication – Use cases & Implementation
- Room: Lando 4302
- Time: 9am – 10am
- CIM1438 – Running Mission Critical Apps on Oracle RAC & vSphere
- Room: Lando 4305
- Time: 10:15am – 11:15am
- SER1435 – Impact of Virtualization on Enterprise Storage & Operations
- Room: Lido 3003
- Time: 11:30am – 12:30am
You'll also find me around the VMware booth from time to time, as well as the various tweet-ups that are taking place during the week.
