vForum Online is Almost Here

VMworld US is over and what a week it was, full of exciting announcements, future projects, and the direction the industry is going. Personally, I was very excited about the two days of keynotes and all the announcements within them. Now that I am back to work, trying to digest it all, I want more! More information and more details about how this will affect VMUG members, end-users, and the industry.

If you feel the same way, you are in luck. vForum Online Fall 2019 is happening on October 16th.  This online event is from 9:00am-3:00pm PT. VMware CEO, Pat Gelsinger, will keynote and VP & CTO of Global Field, Chris Wolf, will participate in an expert panel to follow. These sessions will give you invaluable insight into where the industry is headed and they’ll definitely include more details about the announcements made at VMworld.

After the keynote and panels, you have hour-long sessions with deep-dive technical content. Here you can pick tracks that fit your needs. My favorite session on the agenda is the Understand vSAN in less than 1 Hour, happening at 10:00am PT. Not only because of the content, but because I’ll be giving a 5-minute overview of VMUG and VMUG Advantage. ? Seriously, this will be good content delivered by Francis Daly and James Doyle for those trying to take their company and career to the next level. This is base information to understanding hyper-converged infrastructure and what it can do for you. This is the first step to SDDC and making your IT a business differentiator.

If you are further along the path, check out the NSX sessions such as How to Apply Consistent Security Across VMs, Containers, and Bare Metal. A network that can span public, private, and on-prem datacenters is the network that will win. Learning how apps can migrate from cloud to cloud while maintaining their network and security profile is a must in the hybrid-cloud world.

Workspace One continues to empower the digital workspace, and vForum Online has many sessions on this topic as well. I’d suggest The Journey to Full Workspace One session. If you are less experienced in the EUC space but want to learn more, this is a great opportunity to explore new technologies to expand your skillset and knowledge.

If you want to get your hands dirty, plan on taking one of the two tracks for Hands-on-Labs. These tracks have labs for your Cloud Journey, Network & Security, and Empowering the Digital Workspace. There are over ten HOLs to choose from!

Finally, take some time to visit the VMUG booth. Staff will be there, ready to make connections, answer any VMUG questions, and talk about VMUG Advantage. We will even have a discount code for all attendees to receive 10% off your Advantage subscription. ?

Save your spot today by registering for vForum Online, and take your career to the next level. ? Be sure to attend my session (Understand vSAN in less than 1 Hour) and visit VMUG at the booth.

See you online!
