Guest Post: Thank You for Participating in the Developer Survey

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the participants of the VMware Ecosystem Engineering Developer Survey.  Your input has helped us improve our understanding of the developer tools and interfaces that are currently being used.

I would also like to share some of the programming language results.  The first question of the survey asked which programming languages people are frequently using and the last question of the survey asked which languages developers intend to use in the future.

As you can see in the chart below, developers expect to use Python, Objective-C, PHP and Ruby more frequently in the future.
