A week in virtualization

Weekly virtualization news, as featured on the Community Roundtable podcast.

Last week, we released updates to VMware vFabric, specifically Hyperic and TC server. Hyperic allows you to find, fix and prevent performance problems in custom web applications, whether running on physical, virtual, or cloud infrastructure. vFabric TC server is a drop-in replacement for Apache Tomcat, with operational management, advanced diagnostics and mission-critical support capabilities. You can read up on VMware vFabric and get a free trial at vmware.com/go/vfabric

A week ago, VMware announced acquisition of SlideRocket, which delivers innovative presentation solutions that combine cloud computing, collaboration, social media and mobile computing platforms. To find out more, visit sliderocket.com

Here is your last change to apply to be selected as a vExpert this year. We are accepting vExpert applications until this Friday, May the 6th. In order to be selected as a vExpert, the applicant should have gone above and beyond their day job in contributing to the virtualization and VMware user community. For more details, and to apply, visit VMTN blog at blogs.vmware.com/vmtn/
