Announcing vSAN Private Beta: Data Protection, File Services and Cloud-Native Storage
VMware’s focus on innovation in the Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) industry continues to increase IT agility and availability while lowering costs, empowering businesses to accelerate digital transformation. We are excited to share a preview of some of the latest innovations via a vSAN Private Beta. The beta will provide an early look at key benefits to be included in future releases: data protection, file services and cloud-native storage capabilities.
Two Phase Beta Previews Future Benefits Over Time
This beta will have two phases, with new features previewed in each phase. Phase 1 will be a hosted beta where VMware will provide hosted infrastructure in VMware private clouds. In phase 2, users will get access to vSAN File Services and Cloud Native Storage. Phase 2 will be both a hosted and download beta. Users will be provided hosted infrastructure access and a download package to preview these features. Users will either have the option to beta test these features via the convenience of the hosted infrastructure or their own production test labs to see how these features perform in their own production test environments.
