Bringing the Real-World Benefits of vSAN and HCI to Light

Recently, VMware sponsored a survey of vSAN customers to document and analyze the real-world value that HCI delivers when deployed within production environments.  We have invited the author of that study, Eric Sheppard, Research VP of Server and Storage Infrastructure at IDC, to present the key findings of that survey in a webcast on May 2nd. You can register for the webcast here.

Findings from the study have now been published in an IDC White Paper, “Learning from Companies That Use VMware vSAN to Address Today’s Most Pressing Datacenter Challenges.” The white paper, which you can now download, concludes that with each new release of vSAN, we are continuing to deliver the foundation of a modern infrastructure with the performance and agility required for both existing virtualized workloads and next-generation applications.

The benefits of HCI powered by vSAN are compelling. By combining commodity hardware with a simple operational model, organizations can benefit from substantial savings in both CapEx and OpEx. And, according to the study, users are increasingly relying on HCI for business-critical applications such as CRM, ERP and financial application.

In our May 2nd webcast, we’ll present some of the real-world benefits customers are achieving by deploying vSAN. From reducing the time spent on infrastructure provisioning, to improved application performance, to the elimination of costly storage refreshes, vSAN continues to exceed the expectations of our users.
