Announcing the 2026 vExpert Program

Congratulations to our New and Returning vExperts

Last week we officially kicked off the 2026 vExpert Program and Broadcom would like to say congratulations to the new and returning vExperts.

Thank you for your continued leadership and contribution to the VMware community. The vExpert Program continues to grow because of individuals who consistently share knowledge, help others, and strengthen the community.

What Is the vExpert Program?

The vExpert Program started in 2009 to recognize individuals who go above and beyond in sharing their knowledge of VMware technologies with the community. This is not a technical certification. It is a community recognition program that honors bloggers, authors, public speakers, VMUG leaders, community organizers, open source contributors, mentors, and advocates.

Over the years the program has grown into a global community of trusted voices who actively contribute to the VMware ecosystem.

How to Become a vExpert

The vExpert Program is application based. Applications are reviewed based on:

• Content quality
• Originality
• Consistency
• Impact on the VMware community

It is about meaningful contributions to the community. If you blog about VMware Cloud Foundation, speak at VMUG events, publish technical walkthroughs, share deep technical insights, or lead community initiatives, you should apply for the vExpert award.

2026 Application Timeline

The first half of 2026 awards were announced on February 23rd. The second half 2026 application cycle will open in June of 2026.

If you were not accepted this round you have another chance to apply in June of this year. Be sure you keep your contributions going, if you are blogging, keep writing in depth meaningful articles. Be sure you’re articles are of high quality and have depth to them.

There is no limit to how many times you can apply. The only requirement is a commitment to giving back to the community. If you are not sure what you need to do, reach out to a vExpert PRO to review your past application or reach out to the program manager, Corey Romero at corey.romero@broadcom.com.

Final Thoughts

The vExpert Program is not about a badge. It is about impact. It is about individuals who choose to invest their time helping others and strengthening the community. Congratulations again to the 2026 vExperts. Let’s make this the strongest year yet.
