Containers are hot and growing at an unprecedented rate. I attended Container World Santa Clara last year, and it was a great event. Due to phenomenal interest and the adoption of containers and microservices across the enterprise world, I expect to see many more people this year! And Wavefront will be there!
Our Wavefront container experts come from industry leading companies in container and orchestration systems innovation, such as Google, who spent more than 10 years running containers (yes, even before containers were cool) . Please drop by our booth #403 for a quick chat with our container experts, our popular “surf the wave t-shirt” or a live demo. In addition, on Thursday, Feb 23 at 3:30 PM, please join Wavefront CTO and one of the founders, Dev Nag in a panel discussion: “Containers from both a Developer and a SysAdmin Point of View”.
Spoiler Alert! A Sneak Peak into Wavefront Container World Demo
You will be able to see how to use Wavefront to monitor and analyze the performance of your Kubernetes environment and Docker containers. We will share how collecting, analyzing and visualizing Kubernetes server nodes, pods, and, and Docker container performance metrics, at any scale, can help you detect any container and resource behavior anomalies almost instantly. Here is just a small sample of metrics we can collect from all Kubernetes and container entities including:
- Node metrics: average memory, file system, CPU, and storage utilization
- Pod metrics: CPU usage rate, bytes transferred and received rate
- Container metrics: uptime by container CPU and file system usage rate
Wavefront software also enables you to share these container performance insights across your entire enterprise, including developer, DevOps, and TechOps organizations. Some of our customers, such as Workday are sharing hundreds of Wavefront dashboards across large engineering teams, with almost a thousand engineers. This helps them move faster and quickly spot any performance anomalies across their entire application and infrastructure environment.
We are looking forward to seeing you next week! In the meantime, take Wavefront for a test drive for free. See you in Santa Clara!
