Fresh From the Labs: CloudHealth Portfolio Update August 2025

“The crickets felt it was their duty to warn everybody that summertime cannot last forever.” — E.B. White, Charlotte’s Web

August usually means summer’s winding down, kids are going back to school, and the crickets (or cicadas in the midwest) are starting to quiet down. Even Starbucks signaled the beginning of fall with the annual return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. But, here at CloudHealth, the team is still buzzing with activity, always focused on the needs of our customers.

We’ll now be sharing monthly updates on what the CloudHealth team has been cooking up in the lab. In August, the team introduced new features for both the new CloudHealth experience and for our partners.

As Part of the New CloudHealth Experience…

The new CloudHealth experience, which debuted at FinOps X in San Diego this past June, has been continuously improved. The CloudHealth team has diligently developed a suite of powerful features, all designed specifically for the modern FinOps Practitioner.

Chart Exports for Reports

Now available as part of the new CloudHealth experience, users will be able to export charts in their reports as a PNG Image or as an SVG Vector Image with a transparent background. Images of Charts can be downloaded from the three dash menu on the right side of the chart as seen in the screenshot below.

Table Export for Custom Reports

Now available as part of the new CloudHealth experience, users can now export tables from the chart view to CSV for custom reports. Tables can be exported using the Export button in the top right corner of the report table, below the chart.

The CSV export will provide a table view that is consistent with the chart displayed on the screen. This download is limited to 100K rows.  If you wish to download all columns and rows, please use the export CSV option in the report list view.

Total ToolTip for Cost History Charts

In the new CloudHealth experience, when hovering over the chart in Cost History, users will now see a tooltip showing the effective cost for the total of the entire bar as compared against the individual service that is being highlighted.

Cloud Account Metadata on Asset Properties

Cloud Account ID is now a default property and column for Asset Explorer in the new CloudHealth experience. Customers can now use this Cloud Account information to author queries or filter search results specific to selected billing accounts.

CSV Export for Asset Explorer

As part of the new CloudHealth experience, customers are now able to export their query search results to CSV. The CSV export will match the columns and layout of their existing search results at the time of the export.

The Export button is available on the right hand side of the Search Results tab. Export is currently limited to 100,000 rows.

For more information about Asset Explorer as part of the new CloudHealth experience, you can read about it in our technical documentation: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/vmware-tanzu/cloudhealth/tanzu-cloudhealth/saas/tnz-cloudhealth/exploring-cloudhealth-new-experience-nx-asset-search.html

Favorites and Labels in Custom Reports

As part of the new CloudHealth experience,  users are now able to favorite reports and add labels to custom reports. This additional organization of reports allows users to quickly sort and find the reports that are most useful to them in their current cycle of development. Users can unfavorite a report when they’re no longer top of mind.

Favorites: In the reports list, customers can click the star icon next to a report name to favorite them. Customers can then filter to Favorited or not favorited reports using the Favorites filter in the top navigation of the reports page.

Labels: When creating a report, users are now able to create a new label or select from a list of already created labels. Customers can then filter to the specific label using the Labels drop down in the top navigation of the reports page.

To learn more about using Favorites and Labels with your Reports in the new CloudHealth experience, you can read about that in our technical documentation: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/vmware-tanzu/cloudhealth/tanzu-cloudhealth/saas/tnz-cloudhealth/exploring-cloudhealth-new-experience-nx-cloudhealth-interactive-reports.html

For Our Partners…

Partner Statements Page

CloudHealth is excited to announce that a new Partner Statements page is now available in the new experience! This feature gives partners a summarized view of the finalization state of their customer billing statements across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You can use this to identify which customer account statements are finalized and which are still in an estimated state, as well as understand the reason for any pending statements and when those statements are expected to complete. The Partner Statements page also introduces the ability to download multiple statement files (such as PDF summaries and CSV detailed reports) directly through the UI. This page is also available through API.

To access the Partner Statements page, switch to the new CloudHealth experience and navigate to Partner > Customers Statements.
