NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS processes 6 million invoices per month. In 2023, due to changes in Japan’s regulations, this system saw a 50x surge in access requests. By using VMware Tanzu® Greenplum, Broadcom scaled system performance 100x in less than two months. Additionally, Broadcom focused on further optimization of the application code, which was written in VMware Tanzu® Spring®. The Tanzu Spring extended support ensured compliance with multiple years of non-disruptive patching. This ensured the quality of their applications, allowing developers to focus on optimizing performance. The result was a 30% performance improvement. The journey of NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS continues. As an additional improvement for the future, the company is seeking to leverage AI to enhance the customer experience.
