I don’t know about you, but I sometimes get overwhelmed when I attend technology conferences. This tends to happen at the better shows, where there are so many great break out sessions and panel discussions that it’s hard to choose which to attend. Next week I’m heading to Cloud Foundry Summit in Santa Clara, which definitely qualifies as one of the better (if not the best!) technology shows of the year. And there are indeed tons of great sessions to choose from.
In an attempt to make the most of my week, I spent some time checking out the session catalogue in advance. I was happy to see there are a number of sessions by Cloud Foundry practitioners covering their real world experiences developing cloud-native applications. Personally, I find practitioner-led sessions to be among the best at any given show. They all look great, but I found five session that I’m particularly excited to attend. If you’re heading to Cloud Foundry Summit next week, you might want to get to these sessions early if you want a seat. I’m predicting standing-room only. All of these sessions are part of the Cloud Foundry in the Enterprise track and take place in Grand Ballroom GH at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Without further ado (and in chronological order) …
What: Humana – Scaling Cloud Foundry From One Team to The Entire Enterprise

It’s one thing for a single team to adopt DevOps. It’s quite another to spread DevOps to all corners of a large enterprise. And it’s much more than a technology or even process challenge. Getting everyone on board with DevOps sometimes requires a hearts and minds campaign. Humana’s Patrick Huber, along with my Pivotal colleague Parag Joshi, will share lessons learned from his efforts doing just that at one of the largest health insurance providers in the U.S. Huber and Joshi will also talk about what it takes to roll out and scale an enterprise resilient Cloud Foundry offering.
