For VMware Tanzu CloudHealth, 2024 was a year of growth and evolution. We saw years of effort come to fruition as Tanzu CloudHealth was recognized once again as a market Leader by numerous leading Analyst firms. We announced a new Go To Market partnership with Arrow that brought a renewed worldwide presence. We also debuted an enhanced product experience designed for the modern FinOps Practitioner with expansive multicloud and generative AI capabilities. CloudHealth Remains a FinOps Leader
Since its founding, Tanzu CloudHealth has been committed to assisting customers during their FinOps journey and partnering with them every step of the way. In the 2024 calendar year, that commitment was strengthened as Tanzu CloudHealth was reaffirmed as a leader and innovator in the Cloud Financial Management and FinOps tooling space. Throughout the year, seven Analyst firms named Tanzu CloudHealth as a Leader, recognizing its dedication to enabling organizations with capabilities that address the full FinOps cycle. Analysts shared that Tanzu CloudHealth remains a market leader with its strength in reporting and monitoring, depth of access and control, and its functionality dedicated to partners and MSPs. Functionality like FlexOrgs and Perspectives allow FinOps teams to dive deeper into how their business units are leveraging their cloud infrastructure and maximize the business value of their cloud investments. This granularity of visibility and control as well as the ability to properly allocate costs helps organizations mature their FinOps practices.
For hundreds of Managed Service Providers around the globe, Tanzu CloudHealth is the FinOps solution of choice that serves as an integral part of their cloud services strategy. Known for offering the highest levels of data integrity and scalability, Tanzu CloudHealth enables managed service providers to streamline customer billing, centralize customer management, and drive profitability at scale. Capabilities that are designed specifically for partners – like Partner Generated Billing and the multi-tenant customer management–assist both resellers and MSPs in growing their business, evolving their services, and uncovering new opportunities to generate revenue.
Stronger and Better Together
In May of 2024, Tanzu CloudHealth announced a new partnership with Arrow Electronics. As part of this partnership, Arrow became the sole global go-to-market provider for Tanzu CloudHealth. As part of the partnership announcement, in June, Purnima Padmanabhan (Vice president and General Manager, Tanzu Division, Broadcom) and Eric Nowak (President of Global Enterprise Computing Solutions at Arrow) publicly shared their commitment to the Tanzu CloudHealth community and their excitement at the partnership opportunity.
The partnership with Arrow provides dedicated sales, marketing, and technical support for Tanzu CloudHealth. This enables the product and engineering teams to become manically focused on development and delivery of one of the leading products in the FinOps space, while simultaneously being able to grow and strengthen the Tanzu CloudHealth presence in the market with Arrow’s expansive customer and partner base. Customers and partners will also work directly with Arrow on all commercial aspects of their relationship with CloudHealth going forward, ensuring a smooth and transparent business process that will allow teams to spend more time taking advantage of the value the product offers.
CloudHealth and the Modern FinOps Practitioner
As referenced above, Maslow stated that there are two options in any given moment: Does one stay in safety, or step forward into growth? As part of Tanzu CloudHealth’s push toward growth, we debuted the Open Beta of our new product experience. Tanzu CloudHealth was in attendance in San Diego in June at FinOps X and in Barcelona in November at FinOps X Europe, where we met with the FinOps community to learn about their challenges and successes while showing them the new CloudHealth experience for the first time.
As part of the new experience, Tanzu CloudHealth delivered some of the most commonly requested features, including custom widgets and dashboards, enhanced asset reporting, a fresh Realized Savings dashboard, and much more. The new user interface is purposely FinOps-focused, enabling practitioners to accomplish their daily tasks more efficiently, collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders, and remain proactively aware of actions they can take to optimize their multicloud environments.
In addition, Tanzu CloudHealth continued its innovation in the FinOps tooling space by introducing two AI-Driven features, Smart Summary and Intelligent Assist. Smart Summary provides users with a concise summary of what is driving their cloud spend, why it changes over time, and Generative AI-assisted suggestions to optimize those costs. Intelligent Assist is a large language model-enabled chatbot that allows users to gain insights about their clouds and services through natural language, such as granular custom reports, in depth visibility into assets, or recommendations specific to their cloud usage.
