VMware Carbon Black Removes Endpoint Limits for Customers to Secure Their Changing Environments During the COVID-19 Crisis

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has thrust personal safety and security into the public’s consciousness in an unprecedented way. Families, employees, and global businesses have been forced to upend their lives to make their respective communities healthier and more resilient.  A key component to this response is recognizing that, despite the global recommendation for social distancing, we still thrive as inter-connected communities.

Last week, organizations across the globe were suddenly rushed into their business continuity plans, and VMware has multiple programs to help. The first priority is always to get remote users fully operational in a short amount of time, but no one can afford to sacrifice cybersecurity amid the turmoil. VMware Carbon Black understands how challenging this can be, so we don’t want our customers worrying whether these remote employees’ home systems or newly deployed endpoints are secured.

Endpoint Limit Suspension

VMware Carbon Black has eliminated customer endpoint limits during the 90-day program period beginning on March 20, 2020 and ending on June 20, 2020.

What the program includes:

  • No additional cost: Most importantly, we want you to stay secure as you get remote workers up and running as soon as possible. To ease this process, your endpoint limits are suspended for 90 days so all newly provisioned systems can be protected by Carbon Black.
  • Secure all corporate and home endpoints: The program includes active VMware Carbon Black customers who are currently using VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Standard, VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Advanced, VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Enterprise, VMware Carbon Black Cloud Audit and Remediation, and VMware Carbon Black Cloud Enterprise EDR, as well as the on-premise versions of VMware Carbon Black On-Premise EDR and VMware Carbon Black App Control. Please deploy to any new endpoints to speed your rollout.

We want all of our customers to adapt to this new working model as quickly as possible. You shouldn’t have to worry about the partnerships and solutions you already have in place. For other programs and solutions VMware Carbon Black has to help, check out the additional resources below.
