Announcing Coordinated Detection & Response from VMware Carbon Black and Proofpoint

With thousands of customers adopting the VMware Carbon Black Cloud to secure their endpoints and workloads, our ecosystem continues to grow, developing integrations to deliver enhanced workflows and security to our customers.

We are proud to announce the interoperability between the VMware Carbon Black Cloud and Proofpoint Targeted Attack Protection (TAP). Using these solutions together provides coordinated detections and automated response workflows across end user devices and inboxes to provide multi-layered protection against malicious email attachments.

Together with Proofpoint TAP, joint customers can access enhanced threat intelligence within the VMware Carbon Black Cloud console and automate the removal of malicious email attachments from endpoints even after they’ve been downloaded. Customers can leverage two best-of-breed solutions for better protection at no additional charge.

“As the threat landscape evolves and attacks become more frequent, security and IT teams must refocus their defenses in order to stay one step ahead of attackers,” said Chris Goodman, Director of Integrations and Alliances, VMware Security Business Unit. “Leveraging the VMware Carbon Black Cloud and Proofpoint will better enable customers with critical protection and automated remediation to detect, respond and remove malicious emails from end user machines and inboxes.”

Connecting VMware Carbon Black Cloud with Proofpoint enables customers to gain context from their endpoints and inboxes to help counter the rising number of attacks targeting employees’ inboxes.
