VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud on Dell EMC Platform for Any Cloud, Any App, Any Use Case

SD-WAN is emerging as the defacto standard for networks, enabling the digital transformation with support for cloud, apps, IoT, edge computing, and more. With a cloud-delivered architecture and simplicity of use, customers are adoptinSD-WAN at an accelerated rate and enjoying the full benefits that the cloud and software defined technology offers. VMware and Dell EMC are enabling customers on SD-WAN and providing the ability to consume it in several ways.   

Separately and in addition to that announcement Dell Technologies World, we’ve received numerous inquiries from customers asking if VMware SD-WAN is available on the Dell EMC Virtual Edge Platform (VEP). The answer is a simple ‘yes.’ In fact, Dell IT has deployed VMware SD-WAN on its Dell VEP4600s across 270 offices, serving campuses of up to 14,000 employees at its cost center and data center locations. Read the case study here

Dell has 20,000 sellers globally covering all verticals and can provide customers the flexibility to procure the same market-leading SD-WAN solution from Dell and its partners as well as from VMware. Dell’s ‘Virtual Edge Platform,’ (VEP), is an open uCPE type platform for WAN edge NFV and Edge Compute.

With this platform, Dell Technologies Consulting Services is also debuting three new services for customers: Advisory, Design and Implementation.
